Australia has such unusual animals. A world in and of its own. My cousin said it was his favorite country he has traveled

That’s makes sense. The platypus is a fascinating animal.
I remember when I leant about the venom, but I thought it was only on the hind claws and only the female.
Growing up in Australia I’ve seen a few. Never in the wild though.
They are amazing under water, so graceful. It would be a real shame if we lost them.

It’s how I feel about this crazy world right now. I woke up reading about the platypus on Yahoo and scientists believe that studying them would help us understand how humans evolved. They lay eggs, breastfeed their young and have venom in their webs–how unusual is this.Their fur glows under black light. Plus they look adorable and archaic. I’ve never seen one . They were on the verge of being extinct. Their matrix astounds scientists.
