Unfortunately, gone are the days of an honest handshake. I agree with Rosie about bachi. All JAs have grown up understanding bachi consequences from words or deeds. It all will come full circle at some point. However, he may not be able to correlate the two….

In Japanese we say “Bachi ga ataru” – that is there will be divine punishment if your actions are malicious (similar to “Karma” but relates just to negative actions). This man is Japanese – he fully understands “Bachi” from his mother’s teachings. He has no shame. No heart. One day he will experience the consequences of his dishonorable actions.
