Barefoot traveler stepping through a forest stream among moss and ferns

take me back
to the time when we ran
over river rocks
with out any fears of falling
we were flying free

drain my heart
and wring it dry
of pain
catch the dew drops
from my bloom

my promise
there is always more
a night flower
disappears with the dawn
reborn again with the moon

the rain
from shadowed clouds
all night and day
my love of self
gone away

barefoot again
I step into the stream
the child
I thought I'd lost
waiting on the other side.
