Writing a Path to Openess

Writing is a way to open my heart.

Sometimes I write words so wise they seem beyond myself. Months, even years later, I uncover my journals and scribbled notes and wonder who wrote these profound words?

I search for the author and damn--it was me.

Somehow, writing sets me free.

Yes, I do miss dance--the leaps, the grand jete, the pirouettes, the twists and turns. But there comes a time when we simply can't.

So now, writing is my best friend, my healer, my significant other.

Take my hand and lead me anywhere you will--over mountains, over oceans, deep, deep into bliss.

Yes, write until...until...until...

the page keeps breathing
blending dreams and reality
living and the dead
past, present, future become
one quiet symphony

I will write until
the page becomes my pulse
each word a footstep
leading me back into myself
and beyond
