elderhood…haiku

My front patio sits a peaceful Buddha.

Today I'm grateful I am an "elder". This is very rare attitude for me. but still...

My heart
is still a child
my body
is merely disobedient
I'm not ready for elder hood

  1. Love your use of the word “elderhood,” both a blessing and a challenge rings so true for those of us who are there. Really enjoy your work. Thank you.
