The turtle that swam to the shore,
takes me on his back,
to the bottom of the sea...
my father is there, my mother is there
they are young and in love
somersaulting in the waters
i join them in their play
our hands interlock
we form a circle
round and round we go
gulping in the liquid of life
in our new found forms
we resolve what we couldn't on earth
deep into
a fathomless bottom
heaven is discovered

Yes, my mom and dad finally happy. They divorced when I was 11 o12 can’t remember. Dad got custody of me and mom died regretful so this haibun is a happy ending. The turtle is from a classical Japanese Ghost story. I took the scary parts out lol.

So wonderfully open to a new way with family in the world of spirits. So forgiving.

Hi Genie,
I find this writing intriguing!
I lost both my parents and other relatives. I miss and remember them but, I don’t see a reunion with anyone who has passed away.
Yours truly,
