Genie Nakano is a writer, poet and performance artist. Genie grew up in East Los Angeles, which has inspired her eclectic style. She has a weekly poet column in the Rafu Shimpo, an international Japanese and English Newspaper. She is an award winning writer and poet and published in haiku and tanka journals. She has three poetry books available on Amazon. Currently she lives in with her husband and two dogs. She loves teaching Gentle Yoga and Zumba and being with good friends and family.
